I make mine with a combo of butter and shortening. I have my grandmother's hand press and my mother's electric press from the 70's, haha! Planning on making some this week! Yours look so pretty. Your girls are going to have wonderful cookie memories ;-)Margaret Murphy Tripphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17064013003218156664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1336096338851447197.post-48670839400687149582011-12-08T13:35:57.027-06:002011-12-08T13:35:57.027-06:00Thanks for organizing this - so much fun to see ev...Thanks for organizing this - so much fun to see everyone's treats! My husband grew up eating spritz (I'd never touched one until adulthood), but I can't get his grandmother's recipe to work right for me. So I'll have to try this one - CI can't be wrong! They look adorable and dangerously addictive.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05770756660775231065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1336096338851447197.post-75755924528252382432011-12-07T15:01:54.332-06:002011-12-07T15:01:54.332-06:00LOVED loved loved the cooky press. And the christmas trees are so classic too - I hope the girls helped "press" too! They look wonderful and buttery-good! Thanks for organizing the wonderful Round-Up again this year!mike509https://www.blogger.com/profile/06473835156679951300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1336096338851447197.post-80717986935240075742011-12-07T06:10:14.411-06:002011-12-07T06:10:14.411-06:00Your Spritz cookies look absolutely wonderful and ...Your Spritz cookies look absolutely wonderful and festive! Mark's mother puts green food coloring in the dough so the trees are green when they come out and then sprinkles them with white sprinkles for snow and they look lovely. My mother uses the dough like you have it with the red or green sprinkles. Fun to have some of each! Yours are beautiful. It was fun hearing about your party and seeing it all set up.Kaytehttp://www.grandmaskitchentable.typepad.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1336096338851447197.post-34200980844836021982011-12-05T19:34:27.820-06:002011-12-05T19:34:27.820-06:006 dozen! I don't think I've tried this CI recipe yet, but it is definitely going on the list for this year! Spritz cookies are so good; I've inherited one of those old cookie presses, but don't use it much. Now that I have a tried and true recipe (thanks for sharing!) I might haul it out sooner rather than later!Nancy/n.o.ehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12870024363382414106noreply@blogger.com
