I totally forgot about my kugelhopf pan - I actually brought some overripe bananas home from the beach just so I could make this cake again, and I think I'll do it in the kugelhopf pan! Glad your family enjoyed it. And you KNOW that I relate to everything you said in the first paragraphs of your post. David and I often comment that while kids are little human beings, they are kind of a different species. I hold my breath whenever I walk into a store with Caroline, and I definitely expect more from my older two (sometimes perhaps unfairly). Oh well, in twenty years we'll probably forget about all of the difficult parts of having small kids and just remember the sweet parts!Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06859210460017421539noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1336096338851447197.post-66282544293628127582009-08-07T17:14:29.641-05:002009-08-07T17:14:29.641-05:00I'm sorry it took me a while to come and comme...I'm sorry it took me a while to come and comment, but I was on vacation for most of the passed two weeks. I can totally relate to you and what happened at SLT. Christian is going through the "I promise to listen (NOT!)" stage of life right now. Frustrating. The cake is so pretty and I think it's great you got to use that pan again. How nice that the kugelhopf pan gets to multitask, because if you're like me, kugelhopfs are not in the weekly rotation!

I always love the themes you have for your posts. You're so right about expectations - but you will be amazed one day at what lovely young ladies your girls have become! And as for cake, this one exceeded my expectations. Mine was denser than a regular banana bread, but I expected that with the heaping banana and smaller egg.Nancy/n.o.ehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12870024363382414106noreply@blogger.com
